Can you hold a place before I apply?
To get the process started, you will need to fill out an application and pay the application fee of $35 per applicant over the age of 18. Once the application is received, we will retrieve your reports and let you know if we are able to approve the application. We do not hold properties without applications. -
Do I pay first month’s rent and last month’s rent with my security deposit?
We require a security deposit usually in the same amount as the monthly rent. First month's rent or prorated rent will be collected at time lease signing. -
How old do you have to be to apply?
We require you to be at least 21 years of age. -
Is the deposit refundable?
The security deposit is completely refundable as long as all check out requirements are met and rent is paid in full. -
Who needs a cosigner?
From time to time we will require a co-signer that must own property in Carteret County. -
You have a property I want to rent. How do I apply?
You can print a PDF application from our site, pick one up from our local office, or request we send it to you through email. -
How do I pay rent?
Once you have moved in, we can take personal checks, money orders, cashier's checks, or you can create an online account and pay through our portal. There is a convenience fee associated with this payment method. -
I want to get a pet. What do I do?
Prior to getting a pet, please contact us to make sure that the property is a "pet friendly" property. -
I want to move out, but my roommate wants to stay. What do I do?
If you are both in agreement to allow either to terminate the lease early and provide written consent, we will allow the roommate to terminate early as long as the roommate staying has adequate financial backing. -
My lease expiration is coming and I want to move out. What do I do?
We require a 30-day notice to vacate made by email or in person. -
Who is responsible for paying for repairs & maintenance requests?
Generally it is the homeowner who will incur the costs of repairs/maintenance unless it is deemed tenant damage or tenant neglect.
